"The Zodiac is going to" postcard from 10/12/70

Well the paste up pines card has some credible Z handwriting on it fk im crackproof which appears on a paste up card was later mentioned by Z in his handwritten LA Times letter. My thought is Z often copied from other criminals and paste ups were used by Jack the Ripper and Black Dahlia and FP The Mad Bomber so I think Z wanted to do some too.

Paste ups with little to no handwriting also add an element of mystery and deniabilty. Zodiac can send a paste up and hint tease and taunt about new victimsbut there is no handwriting to directly link to him.

Trying to find out more about the Doctor that received this card,and was hoping to ask his Family if they knew anything about the zodiac letter,but I found this:

"Catherine Adams Stone Daughter of Aurelie Adams and the late Dr. Edward Adams, died May 4 ... Most of her life was spent in Orinda"

Not sure who his surviving Family might be.

Maybe a coincidence,maybe not...

From the 10/19/70 Oakland Tribune....

"Stanford Women's club of the east bay will sponsor a conference on 'volunteer power' - involved women in action Thursday October 29 at Orinda community church. Mrs. Michael J. Stone of Orinda is chairman. Reservations are with Mrs. Edward C. Adams of Orinda."

The letter was postmarked 10/17/70,a couple days before this article mentioning Dr Adams' wife. I wonder if the letter sender was motivated by her involvement in this project?

Wasn't it mailed on 10/27/70? Maybe I am wrong but this is shown at http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Zodiac_Killer_letters#October_27th_1970

Then Z would've sent the letter just one week after the conference...Orinda is one of my favorite regions for Z - dig the garden!

This got lost in the shuffle so I want to note the excellent work by our member Ricardo on the unredacted card "Zodiac is going to...You are next" which names Dr. Edward Adams.

At the link above, Ricardo has excellent large reproductions of the card, and analysis showing possible links between Dr. Adams and his circle of associates and two well known Zodiac suspects.

IMO this unredacted card is a major find, the biggest out of this new batch recovered by Morf.

IF this card is really from Zodiac, then there should be some connection or nexus between who Zodiac really was and this Dr. Adams.

At the link above, Ricardo has excellent large reproductions of the card, and analysis showing possible links between Dr. Adams and his circle of associates and TWO well known Zodiac suspects.

FYI: Edward Adams was Jean Smith's psychiatrist. Jean is Gareth Penn's mother. (Jean Sewell Smith) She was diagnosed with schizophrenia in roughly 1970-71.

How do we know this???

ZAM - Did you get that from Mr. Penn himself, that his mother went to Dr. Adams? If so, ask him his opinion of DR. Adams.

Interesting material found by PORTOFLEITH.

She noted that the threat letter said "the adamses are next", meaning the couple Dr. Edward Adams and his wife.

Both he and his wife appeared in the newspapers, one was a Nov. 1968 multi page spread on their house and garden. Mrs. Adam was also active in women's groups, library groups and feminism. The feminist event was noted in October 1969.

Did this trigger "Zodiac"? Or was it the 1968 photo spread? And/or was it Dr. Adams article about how to get people working again after nuclear war, or his association with Dr. Murray? Or random?

I notice the 2nd article itself uses the phrase "the Adamses". Would be good to see how close an article, date-wise can be found to the date on the card.

Yes. Neat find. They use the doc's middle initial too (on the envelope). Abbreviating his first name is interesting. I wonder how he was listed in the phone book?

Looks like the "ses" in "Adamses" is writtin in..at least the "s's" and in "murders" too. Not that that means anything.

This is all very good information , but again there is another possible connection construction !
