"The Zodiac is going to" postcard from 10/12/70

Another thing that points towards this being a true Zodiac postcard, for me, is the PM in the postmark. The vast majority of Zodiac's letters and cards had the PM postmark, all but one, I believe.

I would say if the Lass "Peek through the pines" is real and the "13th victim FK I'm crackproof" are real - https://zodiackillersite.forummotion.com/t102-13th-victim-claimed-and-fk-im-crackproof - and I think they are, then this new 10/12/70 one is probably real.

One or two newspapers may have printed an image of the double postage, but that doesn't it mean it was commonly known.

I don't know if any newspaper printed the image of the "13th victim FK I'm crackproof" card, maybe one or two did. Maybe none did. But this card seems so similar in design, method and feel.

I don't know...

What do people make of the message? Is there a name blanked out? Paul Avery? Someone else?

Is the main message that he IS going back to announcing his murders?

Could that tie in to Bennallack being killed on 10/26/70, and the Zodiac Halloween card announcing a 14th victim before the Bennallack story hit the newspapers?

It could be Avery, or perhaps some other prominent individual.

IMO the new Oct 12, 1970 card is created by the very same person as the person who created the probale Zodiac card of Oct 5, 1970. Created exactly 1 week apart.

Why?

Because:

1. the cut out day/date is proably from the same newspaper, exact same font.

2. both cards are signed with the name "Zodiac", and the name "Zodiac" in both cards are ALSO proably from the same newspaper, both in exact same font, only the Oct 5 is made by single cut out letters (NOT italics)and the Oct 12 is one single word cut out (this IS italics version of the font).

3. the crosshair symbols on the Oct 5 and the Oct 12 are very simelar in their design.

Wow, very good Foreigner. Does anybody know how soon the photo of the Oct 5,1970 card was in the papers? If it wasnt shown in the papers, then it likely is indeed the same person. Police seem to think the first one was legitimate, and it has been released for years. Why would they not release the 2nd one? This 2nd one seems to be directly threatening someone. I wonder if it was a threat to Avery, Caen, Belli, etc??

Here, Graysmith states the Lass postcard that looked like this one, was received 10/5/70, and published 10/6/70, making it possible for a copycat for sure (if Graysmith is right)

Graysmith said the card was postmarked Berekeley 10/17/70, so whomever wrote it, held on to it for 5 days after making it.

Does that say it was addressed to someone in "Orinda, CA"? Orinda is just 8 miles east of Berkeley. I see Seagull, me and others were right about the BERKELEY postmark.

Does anyone know of anything or anyone in ORINDA that Zodiac, real or fake, might want to send this card to?

Does anyone know where the Oct. 5, 1970 postcard was sent? Since these two cards are so much alike and may have been composed by the same person they may have been sent to similar recipients. Not necessarily the same person or place like a reporter or newspaper for instance but similar, possibly the two were sent to the work and home of a particular person, though.

Chris Y at ZKTRUTH has the Oct. 5 card as sent to the SF Chronicle.

It appears this 10/12/70 card was sent to someone in Orinda, CA.

Hummm, Orinda is pretty much a bedroom community, albeit a very wealthy one, did Avery ever live in Orinda?

Ahhh Orinda, 94563..... use to work there. A beautiful little town. All of Orinda is high to doo. There is one area called Sleepy Hollow that is
even more tata then the rest. It has the reputation of having it's own little banana belt of excellent weather.....it's own paradise one might call it.
One of the main roads thur Sleepy Hollow is called Miners Road. My two former bosses lived there, beautiful homes & view!!!

Any other Z letters made public besides this one? The reason I ask is, if a copycat went by the envelope shown in this news article, he would likely use several stamps. The way I read it is ------------- of -------------------- Orinda, Ca got the card and gave it to the Inspector.

It does appear that they still may think they know who the sender was....or am I reading that incorrectly too?

If only there was a way to erase those black lines, I wonder what names & clues we would find??

The person that received the card, and handed it over to police, thinks he knows who sent it to him.

I actually played around with my photo enhancing software, lightening, brightening, adjusting, everything,but could not make out the letters or words under those black lines.
