Certainly (if this is a fake), Zodiac would have seen it posted in the Chronicle. Maybe he liked that the person used the word "crackproof" and decided to use it himself. It doesn't offer proof it's Zodiac...ya know? Not trying to be difficult. Hmmm...how about old Tom? https://zodiackillersite.forummotion.com/t950-old-tom-and-his-fake-z-letters

| Just wanted to add...
Zodiac writes in two of his letters about "cracking" the code. Someone other than Zodiac later coming up with "crackproof" isn't too much of a stretch, imo.

| Excellent work as always TF and great questions QT, whether they're the right questions I couldn't say but like the logical approach.
I won't get a chance to look much at the actual cards tonight or read the posts and try to form an opinion as to Z or not. There is a minor thing that I noted and I guess it falls in Z's favour but it's a behavior shared by many, many people.
On the "Zodiac is going to" card he states:
"you taught me to mean it"
I found this rather similar with the bates confession letter and it''s "it will be on your heads, not mine" comment.
The behavior I guess its called deflection but I like to call it BSE - Blame Someone Else (for your actions)
(Removed) Thought it was but it was a duplicate, but still looking, could have sworn I checked that it wasn't just a dupe but there you go.

| Was just reading through this thread again and it's QT's posts about the Map and Radians stuff. https://zodiackillersite.forummotion.com/t1069-mt-diablo-an-overlooked-clueQuickTrade Wrote: - Quote :
- Hi all,
if interpreting the Mount Diablo cipher as 'INCH: TWO POINT TWO RADIANS: EIGHTEEN', it´s possible to calculate the detailled langitude/latitude coordinates of this position (map scale 6.4 miles = 1 inch).
Calculating this (with Pythagoras' help), you end up in an area called 'Diablo View' in Orinda, close to Lafayette, with an address: 26, St. Stephens Drive. There is a strange sign on the house (see picture), which might be interpreted as a bomb? However I am not sure if this building wasn´t set up after 1970...would be interesting to know who has been the owner of the ground in 1970..maybe his name matches the my-name-is-cipher?

| I did a directions map between the address that QT came up with and Dr. Adams residence. As the crow flies the addresses are not all that far from each other, maybe a mile and a quarter. Driving time is longer because it's hilly terrain with lots of twists and turns. I do think it is impressive that QT came up with that St. Stephens Drive address before Dr. Adams address was known. | |

| Too bad so many folks have passed. Dr. Adams would have been an interesting man to talk to! It would also be nice to know where else he may have worked. | |

| So there is a possibility that the author of this questioned material was a patient of this Doctor, and that he may have been in a NAPA mental hospital. How about the Napa mental patient named in this page? | |

| I seem to recall something about that Glenn guy. I will see what I can find.
Also at the bottom of that report it mentions a latent print on Pages 2 & 3 of the letter where he introduces himself as Zodiac. Why didn't I ever notice that before?

I found a Glenn Wyland Sharpe who died in Michigan in 2000 or 2002 at age 82. I assumed the black-out on the above was Glenn's last name. Does this sound familiar?

I agree, quite interesting that QT came up with obscure Orinda, and this is where Dr. Adams lived!

| Excellent work by our member Ricardo on the unredacted card "Zodiac is going to...You are next" which names Dr. Edward Adams. http://www.mk-zodiac.com/Communication10-17-70Report.htmlIMO this unredacted card is a major find, the biggest out of this new batch recovered by Morf. IF this card is really from Zodiac, then there should be some connection or nexus between who Zodiac really was and this Dr. Adams. At the link above, Ricardo has excellent large reproductions of the card, and analysis showing possible links between Dr. Adams and his circle of associates and TWO well known Zodiac suspects. Ricardo's website is www.mk-zodiac.com

| Hmmm...links to (possibly) two Zodiac suspects. Makes me more convinced this card as well as the Pines card and others of it's kind were fakes. I'll leave it at that. | |

Well read Ricardo's report. He provides some background on who Dr. Adams was, and in looking at his associates and neighbors, finds possible ties to two figures in the Zodiac case, one who is generally regarded as a suspect for being Zodiac, and one who is a researcher on the case thought by a few to also be a suspect. Also he has really good blow ups of the card and other items there.

Yes this is pretty exciting ,well done Ricardo ! This works very well with my number one suspect R.H., who was also working at UC Berkeley during that time and much later. R.H. was living on a street in Berkeley at that time, which fits into the redacted space. This is another piece of the puzzle that we need. Edward C Adam's wife Aurelia Wolcott Adams born 1918 moved to Walnut Creek and died in 2011. Walnut Creek being another area that has some possible Zodiac connections to unsolved murders.

| How did I never notice this before? Zodiac wrote in his 11/9/69 letter, "I will change the way collecting of slaves" "Shall announce" The 'ZODIAC IS GOING TO' postcard was postmarked 10/17/70 in Berkeley. It also used the same term "change collecting of slaves" & "shall anounce". So,this postcard came a full month almost before Zodiac mailed his letter using the same exact phrases. Question is, 'IF' the postcard was a hoax, its pretty obvious Zodiac had to have seen the wording from the card. How could he have? That makes it more likely that Zodiac sent the card as well. | |

So did I,i forgot we were talking 1970 & not 69. It's still interesting, but if it was 1969,it may have been a huge clue.

| The biggest! Not too bad a spot anyway! It looks as if whoever assembled that used clippings from the Chronicle where the Z. story was quoting the original letter.... as if he'd saved it from his little library of cuttings, from nearly a year earlier. Perhaps. | |

| The idea that he saves news paper cut outs, doesn't surprise me at all. I think he knows that LE would look at recent papers to see where he got them from , makes for some" busy work".
For instance, I received a letter with a cut out taped to it, about a woman who was being stocked in San Jose. At the top of this letter typed : Thinking of you !!!!! No return address.
I looked for any papers that had this article and couldn't find any. So I contacted the woman in the story and asked her where and when it was printed. It was 3 months before my letter was sent and it was in the S.F.Examiner. So these weirdos enjoy the game of hide and seek.

| I think for me, the cutting and pasting is to hide the senders handwriting....not because he was Zodiac, but because he wasn't.
This cut & paster says he is Zodiac and threatens this man and his family.
Zodiac's handwriting was all over the place and Doctor Adams had most certainly seen it. If you WERE Zodiac, what would keep you from using the handwriting you had been using? If Zodiac's true handwriting was altered, then Doc. Adams wouldn't recognize it so why not use it with him too?
I mean, the sender is saying HE is Zodiac. Why not write it. I say, because he (or she) couldn't pull it off.
****
I know I come across as negative and I don't mean to be. I think it would be AMAZING to have a "new" Zodiac letter! Morf getting his hands on this stuff....super!
