"Patricia King, 25, was found near the football stadium at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill on March 5, 1970. She was strangled with her leggings after an evening exercise class."

Reading through the articles, I see similarities with the June-July 1973 killings of Nancy P. Gidley. Rosa Vasquez, Yvonne Quilantang, and Angela Thomas in San Francisco. Like Patricia King, also these victims were strangled or smothered, and their bodies were found in public places such as school yards, park, and an empty lot. However, in King's case it has been apparently unclear at the time of the articles if she had been sexually assaulted or not. Possibly the autopsy report would contain more information on that.

It would be also very interesting to know more about the presumed course of the crime, particularly to what extent her car played a role in that.
