Crimes with similar Zodiac M.O. but NOT proven to be Zodiac related

Starting a full thread here dedicated to crimes with overly similar M.O. to Zodiac,but NOT proven to be Zodiac related. I think that the possibility of Zodiac moving away from CA,and continuing his way of life, needs to be explored further.

I will start it off with this case:





The guy shows up with both a Knife & A gun.

*He tells them he's killed before and not afraid to kill again

*Controls them with a gun, forces one to tie up the others, then ultimately kills with a knife

*Calms them by telling them "i just want your gas"

All this guy is missing is an executioner's hood. For what its worth, this happened in Speculator, NY in July, 1973. Thats about 85 miles from Albany NY and we all know about Albany as it relates to the Z case. Wish there was a sketch of this guy or better description.


Here's a possible suspect in the case, Robert F Garrow:






Garrow was arrested for all of the crimes on the campers (I think), and if so, he certainly couldnt be Z since Z sent a letter in 1974, but the MO is p[retty similar as are the words he used, and tactics
