Bay area man with a history of attacking women after their car was disabled

Found this article from 1961:


This attack happened in 1961 in Hudson, MI. The attacker offered a woman a ride after her tire 'became flat' (what OR who caused the flat?) Anyhow, I am always looking for cases where women are attacked after their car has trouble. This man got a divorce from a woman in Contra Costa County in January, 1966. The only problem, I can find ZERO in the way of anything else for him in CA. His middle initial is S. So I am curious, after this divorce, did he stay in CA? The woman he married was a bay area woman who had Family back in MI, and since I can not find any record of their marriage in CA, I think they may have gotten married back in MI.
