1/2/70 Zodiac Victim?

While looking thru the declassified FBI files (section 3 page 71 & 72)about a caller who called into a switchboard operator at the Sacramento FBI office on 1/2/70 calling himself Zodiac, and stating that he had just killed someone:



Anyone know of any victims killed around 1/2/70 that could line up with this call? Of course it could be a crank call, but should be easy to find a murder that happened around that date.

It may or may not be a coincidence that police officer Eric Zelms was shot to death about 12:45 a.m. on January 1, 1970, one day before.

Witnesses saw Zelms being killed in front of a restaurant in San Francisco and the police quickly arrested the two men who were involved.
