| It is interesting how quickly a place can be compromised, I guess I wasn't to surprised to wake up and find my personal introduction to this site, copied and spread all over youtube, I am going to have a slight delay in the start of my story because a lot of issues I need help with are currently undisclosed, and due to the relevance of certain things and how they effect my personal life and family I am going to have to re-think exactly how to go about this entire situation, I must still be very naive in my understanding why or what motivates people to interfere and degrade those who are doing nothing but trying to resolve a mystery. What or why would anyone here want to aid them in there quest is beyond me. And can anyone explain to me or give me a reason why I should share what I know here? And to those who are involved in the ongoing campaign to be sure that this case is never solved can anyone else tell me how they feel about them copying personal information from a post with in this site and posting it else where within hours. And if members are pre-screened is it not known who the person or persons are within this site, I mean basically are not most members here at on this site quote "investigators". May be trying to introduce yourself and let people have a reasonable idea of the kind of person you are is not a good idea? Has any other member of this site been compromised? And if you do not understand what I am talking about please see the video I posted on youtube that ultimately landed me here? My information was posted on another site under comments. Input very welcome! "PLEASE" Steve'o | |

| Steve this is a private site but has over 100 active members. Never put personal info on the internet. Never put anything you dont want known on the internet. For postings here attach as a signtaure to each post Copyright 2012 not to be copied or reposted. Tell Morf who posted the info. As for why you should be a member here you should if you want to belong to a site with excellent knowledgable members who can help you determine if your suspect was the Zodiac. | |

"And can anyone explain to me or give me a reason why I should share what I know here?" Yes, I'll do. This is what a forum is made for - to share information with others. The only person in whom I'd be interested although not sharing information is Talbot. Honestly, I thought your video was just offending...there was a guy, tall but slim, who was just felt irritated by your 'interview'. You showed him some handwriting, ok. But why? He tells you he had six months left - no response from your side at all. You found some knives in his house? Ok. Human blood on it? Interesting. Heavy-rimmed glasses? Some had indeed. Name matching the my-name-is-cipher? Not at all. Maybe the knifes make him somehow suspicious - but for which crimes? Zodiac? I have no idea, I'd rather say no. Lack of proof from your side until today. Offending people that have six months to live is not that funny . This guy even cared for what you had to say until the point that he didn't know how to help. Are you the Zodiac? Hell no. Is this forum for information sharing? Hell yes. By the way, I'd love to see the reaction of one of my POIs when compromising him like you did with that guy...mine didn't even react when I asked him about the murder of Cheri Jo Bates, one of his school mates. Stocky built, name in a Z style matching the my-name-is-cipher too. If I was at the same school with a girl that got killed, I'd something to say. For example that I had nothing to do with it. Or that I knew her or something. Your suspect almost started to investigate the knifes etc. QT

| I'd really like to get into a more serious discussion about your poi, Steve. I understand you have been verbally challenged to reveal more evidence. But then, what do you expect when publicly posting the video?
Sharing information about your person of interest does not include sharing your private information. I am sure you understand. We can either analyze the pros and cons of your claims in a civilized manner or we don't. I am not interested in anything else.

I agree with Morf. Captain, both Sandy and Zam vouch for you. They say you are a good guy and genuine in your desire to try to investigate what you have. That counts for a lot because they are good people, good researchers and good members. So I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. But your suspect is dead. There is no valid reason I can think of not to post his handwriting. Why won't you post it? Morf, Trav, Smithy, Bentley and several other members are very good at analysing samples and will even make comparison graphics for you, as they have for other researchers. None of them are wedded to a suspect. They will give it a fair shot. None of those people belong to Tom Voigt's site, FWIW. Nor do I. If you are an honest researcher, finding evidence your suspect is NOT Zodiac should be as equal a goal as finding evidence he is. It appears Barry's father did not work at Mare Island. Also you say in your youtube post Barry was dishonorably discharged from the military. Based on records posted here that does NOT seem to be the case. This is important. Can you post the evidence showing he was dishonorably discharged? Or had 20 disciplinary actions? Did you make a mistake? Don't worry we all do! Just good to admit it and move on. I take it you found these knives in a house Barry had lived in? Did anyone live in that house before Barry? Or after him and before you? In other words, how do you know these knives belonged to him? The public record of this man shows a Marine who served honorably and a veteran cop. A cop who served in Internal Affairs, which you must have clean record to do. And he served as a detective and juvenile officer. No criminal record. What is the evidence he was Zodiac? OK you say his UNCLE wrote a book on codes. Kinda interesting, maybe, but can you show Barry himself was interested in codes and expert at them? You say he desecrated his wife's corpse? Proof please. This site has other members who are as nice and knowledgable as Sandy and Zam. They are a great resource which you must have wanted to tap as you joined here. Lets see the handwriting and go from there. I grant you bloody knives hidden in wall is interesting! And Barry does look like the sketch - so do a lot of people, but several here were very struck by the similarity. So take a shot, post the handwriting and tell us your story of how you came across this suspect, and what leads you to think he is the Zodiac.

| Sounds like my wife's coffee This I like. What happened to the old days of tussles, fisticuffs and few days in the pokey? Now it's a cowardly gun shot, a dead father, 3 hots and a cot for life on the taxpayers. Thanks for posting TC. | |

| It would be helpful to know what this 'shrine' looked like - was it just a concealed space or was it actually arranged like a shrine? Was the wall built up or was it hidden but easily accessible?
Can anyone here work out the dates that Barry lived at the address?
