Holloween letter - 1978 movie

Hi,

there is this 07-19-1978 letter (I-am-in-control-of-all-things). Inside, Z mentions 'Holloween' (sic!) even twice, although it is July (!). I always had wondered, why Z had referred to Halloween in summer. He also mentions

"I am going to tell you a secret. I like friction tape. I like to have it around in case I need to truss someone up in a hurry....I have my real name on a small metallic tape."

On 10-27-1978 however, the movie 'Halloween' went into the cinemas (Michael Meyers).

I wonder if Z had known about this movie while it was produced? E.g. as an electrician or camera guy, using the friction tape (cables)?
